There are millions of literary, grammar, and writing jokes out there. Friends send them to me all the time.
PLEASE TELL ME YOUR FAVORITE LITERARY, WRITING, OR GRAMMAR JOKE!
Anti-Oxford comma jokes not welcome. It’s too soon, man. 😉
Here are a few of my favorites:
The past, present, and future walked into a bar. It was tense.
They’re going to their house because you are not there.
Don’t you get it?! They don’t like you.
Q: What do you say when you are comforting an editor?
A: They’re, Their, There
And then, as I am a big Poe-Nerd, I get these sent to me every day. I love the Poe memes! He’s probably rolling over in his grave at the fact that he’s become a part of popular culture in the last few years. I’ve loved him since I was 8-years-old and was so irritated at first; like hearing your favorite indie band played on the radio. But now… SHARE ALL THE POE!

Welcome! Yes, they are good. Happy A to Z!
My daughter’s a Poe fan and doesn’t understand why her friends don’t all read his work.
It’s nice to see younger generations appreciating him. My daughter is getting her Poe on, too. She read The Pit And The Pendulum last Halloween… When she was 10… And loved it! I was do proud.
